Fall must-haves!

Hi dolls! With fall fashion ever so present in what, every single store... I decided to show y'all whats high up on my shopping list for this season! I'm trying to stay pretty budget-friendly here with maybe one or two or three or four splurges to complete my wardrobe. Let me know in the comments what you're buying this fall!! :)

Sweaters
I love this one from AE. Totally comfy, and at $40 I don't think I can pass this up! It fit me more loosely and I love that it can go off the shoulder.

Dying over this one available at Pacsun. Tribal prints are so fun, and I love all the colors in this! $60 is a little steep, but they're all buy one, get one half off so use your reasoning ;)

I love the colors in this one too by Quicksilver! If you want to buy me this, go ahead ;)

I think in the print category, this one is my favorite! It's only $36.75 from 6pm.com, and free shipping... I think I just convinced myself!

Boots
Be still, my heart! These are pretty much perfection for being under $100. They remind me a lot of the Sam Edelman Pierce, but for a little less ;) The one thing I hate about buying boots online is the fit... What to do in that case?

I bought these! Couldn't help it. They just drew me in.... oooh, sparkly! ;)

These are just simply amazing. You can find them here. Do you have a budget for statement pieces? Is $100 too much for these? Do tell.

How hot are these?! $42 isn't even bad either, I definitely think I'll be clicking 'add to cart' ;)

Well. That's about it. I'm really trying to limit my shopping and work with what I have, while adding a few fun things in. Budgeting my shopping is so hard, so that's why I'm not adding anymore! When I move my expenses are almost going to triple, so I have to be good the next couple of months while I figure it all out!
until then.....

Happy Friday :) Have an amazing day and a blessed weekend!

Welcoming fall

Oh mirror pictures..... how we all love them ;) Cut me some slack.... all I do with my hair these days is throw it up, I know I've complained a million times moving takes a lot of work. So it's best that I not participate in photo shoots right now ;) hopefully today I'll take the time to do one so you have something more interesting!

Sweater: H&M {So comfy. Go buy one!} | Jeans: AE {On sale!} | Sandals: Target {June 2012} | Earrings: F21 {You can't really see them but I think they're cute;)}

I love sweaters. And boots and jeans and scarves. That's all I really have to say. I love layering pieces in the fall too, and buying lighter sweaters means that I can wear them on the 'colder' summer days! 70 degrees means I can wear this baby ;)
What are your must-have trends for fall?! Do tell!1 I'll be sharing mine tomorrow.

XO

PS. Y'all are so sweet... your touching comments warm my heart :) I've been stressing majorly about the move and the support I get from you guys is so honoring!

Cha-cha-cha-changes.....

Top: Marshalls | Tank: F21 | Skinnies: AE {On sale now!} | Sandals: Target {This summer- similar here} | Necklace: Buy similar here+here

I think I might have this top in every color.... the back is just too fun! Shirts like this are my favorite, especially when they're a solid color, so many options! I just wanted to warn let y'all know about some big changes for this blog. I've been working hard on a new design, but I'm having a little bit of an 'identity' crisis.... I want to change the name! Love and Luxe just doesn't really do it for me anymore. I'm also not completely sure what direction my blog will take once I move. Which happens to be in 5 days.... SO. WEIRD. But anyways, I'll still be doing my outfits/tutorials/random posts, but I'll just have to see how things pan out. I can't even take my full length mirror with me.... major sad face! I have to buy a new one soon... or else........ !! :( And on that negative note......

Happy Monday! Hope your day is filled with sunshine and warm smiles.... and not moving boxes ;)

P.S. For reals, if any of you want to guest post for me next week {Like Monday, Tuesday, maybe Wednesday?} that'd be soooo awesome. E-mail me and we can chat :)

Polka+Safari...

Blouse: F21 {Recent, love this} | Jeggings: Sevens {Old} | Vest: F21 | Belt: F21 {Old} | Sandals: Target | Bag: Tory Burch | Earrings: F21 {Recent}

I bought this vest about a month ago to save for my 'fall' wardrobe, but on Sunday I was about to head out the door for dinner with some friends when I figured that this outfit needed something extra.... so I pulled this baby out! I love the look it gives, takes the dressy blouse to a more casual level! Sorry that I've been slacking on posts lately, this whole moving thing is taking the energy out of me, plus all it seems like I wear are yoga pants and target tees... oh well...
PS. If any of you are interested in guest posting for me, email me: Lexi (dot) McClelland (at) gmail (dot) com

Have a fabulous Wednesday and thanks for reading :)

Maxi decision

Tee: Marshall's {Recent} | Skirt: F21 {Also recent, sold out online, check your stores- similar here} | Platforms: Buckle | Bag: Tory Burch

I wore this outfit last week for a fun day out shopping/eating with one of my good friends who happens to be moving too, to sunny California... jealous! Sometimes I think I experiment too much enough with my outfits that I 'forget' about the basics. Camel with black and white just seemed perfect that day. Anyways.....
I saw a post on instagram about a girl that bought this same skirt and cut the inside layer, and it looked adorable. I bought this skirt to intentionally do the same with, but now that falls approaching I'm not sure what to do.
Are you planning on wearing maxi's in the fall/winter? How are you going to style them??

XO! Happy Monday ;)

Baseball Love

Tee: Nordstrom's {Recent} | Jeans: AE {PS- If you like their jeans, they're all less than $30 right now!} | Flats: Me Too | Bag: Tory Burch | Necklace: H&M {Recent} | Sunnies: H&M |

I'm so beyond in love with baseball tee's.... not only because they're comfy as heck, but because my man plays baseball so I've got to represent! ;) The neon is a fun touch in a subtle way. For the next couple of Friday's I'm going to incorporate typical 'fan gear' into a 'nicer' outfit, suitable for the upcoming football season, or if you're just like me and like to be sporty chic ;) Whatever floats your boat!

Have a happy happy weekend dolls :)

{Weekend Recap.....}

Hi dolls! Sorry about the lack of posting yesterday.... I got back late Saturday night and was just not in the mood to turn on my computer and type! I had an amazing weekend with my love, here's just a few pics from our fun together....

I was so excited to get close to Spokane on my way there! 6 hours is a loonggg drive.... especially when your view the whole way is wheat farms.

He took me out to P.F. Changs, one of our favs.....

Smiling so big because he makes me the happiest person in the world:)

His new nickname is 'grill master';) It's soooooo nice being cooked for....

We went to a Spokane Indians game and had a pretty good view! Though it did feel weird with him not playing;)

At the game! My handsome boy.

I haven't talked a lot about the details of my move, just of the fact that I am. Blake and I have been together for 2 years {more on that later...} but dating long distance. For those of you who know how hard it is, you eventually have to be together, which is the main focus of my move. We know that we don't want to be in Spokane for an extended amount of time, but it's home for now:) The northwest has been great to both of us growing up and becoming adults, but we want to experience a new place together. I will be a full time student again, pre-majoring in Communications/Broadcast Journalism. I'll also be working, but more news on that one later;) I'm super excited to start this new adventure, and can't wait to see what God has in store for me! I'm so beyond blessed that I've found someone so amazing to spend the rest of my life with and can't wait to have the opportunity to be together all the time. I just thought I'd let y'all know what's going on, and I'll do another post when I'm actually moved!

Happy Wednesday :)

DIY Glitter Booties!

Hi y'all! Happy Monday! Right now I'm in Spokane enjoying some quality time with my man {more on that later} and apartment searching. I'm meeting with the college that I'll be at for this year later today too! I managed to slip away and write up this tutorial for the glitter booties I wore last week here. Ready?! :)

I picked up these Steve Madden ankle booties at my local Ross for about $14... such a steal! I loved how these had the lining in the back, perfect for glitter-ing out.
Options here|here|here|here|here- all options under $50.

Make sure you're working on a surface that you can throw away/recycle. Unless you want to clean up all that excess glitter.... have fun with that ;)

I didn't take a picture of the 'supplies' needed because besides the booties, it's only two: permanent fabric glue and glitter of your choice. I picked these up at my local Wal Mart, so no worries with finding anything. Make sure it's permanent glue though! I started out with rubbing small sections onto the desired area. You don't want it to dry and have awkward clumps. Once you get the hang of it you can apply glue to bigger sections, but start small. The section glued about is about two inches.

THE most important step: Apply glitter right away! Don't let the glue dry. This is why I suggest doing small sections at a time so you get even coverage on the entire area you want it! The glitter should cover all of the glue, so don't worry about drying time between sections

I started doing a little bit bigger sections, but not by much.

Repeat the above steps until the area you want covered is finished!

Then you'll end up with super sexy booties like these! ;) So perfect for fall, can't wait to wear them out!

If any of ladies attempt these, make sure to show me! I'll feature you on this here blog of mine :) Happy DIY-ing!
