Styling: Having a Fabulous Fourth of July

If you're like me and are still figuring out things for the Fourth, I've came up with 3 different outfit inspirations for however you're celebrating our wonderful country!! 

Outfit One: Casual

Comfy Friday

Maybe I was wrong about not getting the J Crew Panama hat {here) because I seem to be wearing this one a lot! I woke up a little late... oops... to meet my friend for coffee/birthday breakfast and I didn't have much time. This hat had double action that day: When I wake up, I usually mosey around and don't look outside much (bad, I know) and check the weather from my phone. It was supposed to be around 80 that day, so I figured this hat would be perfect, and the scarf would work well for the lower morning temperatures. Well, we were outside having out coffee when it started pouring... I'm glad I wasn't having a good hair day to begin with! ;) I can see this hat becoming a summer staple. What have your summer staples been so far??

I bought this sweater this last weekend because let's be real... I couldn't resist it! I wore this out with one of my besties 2 nights ago for her birthday festivities. When you wear a piece like this, it's important to not go too overboard with the rest of your 'duds. I liked the contrast with these blue flats, because they're a statement, but a solid color. PS if you have an Express in your area, I highly suggest checking out the sale. I don't usually shop there, but an extra 30% off helps! Like I said, these were only $7, and I got a couple cute shirts for less than $20 each! I can't believe how fast the week has gone. Anyways, I need your help!! Yesterday I was in Marshalls and came across these Lucky Brand flats......

Switching it out

In the first 'outfit', I had an interview so obviously that's why there's nothing too special about that outfit;) I got stuck in traffic and was planning on going home to change to meet my friend for dinner, but time didn't allow... but I did grab these flats and neon necklace to change it up a little! I would have liked to add a little more of a contrast, but you can only do so much in a short amount of time! Like I said yesterday, I'm liking the neon trend in moderation, which must be why I was drawn to this necklace! It's the perfect little pop of color to an otherwise neutral outfit.  I'll have a little DIY neon project for y'all soon too, isn't that exciting?! Thanks for reading!!!

I'm kinda diggin' neons.... I've always been a little afraid because they remind me a lot of my childhood barbies, but in moderation I think it's uber fun. Mint, what person doesn't like this color?! And polka dots? Sorry for the cliche post of all these 'trends', but I can't help it.... Do I dare tempt neon flats? Would you do it?? I'm super tempted, but we'll see how I feel in a couple hours when I've had my coffee! ;) Tell me how you feel about neon!! 

Ps. Just me thinking... I can't believe it's almost July. That means I move in 2 months... scary and exciting! But July also means the 4th, aka one of my favorite holidays... keep checking for a post about different potential outfits!!

It probably seems like I say that I'm very proud of this man a lot, but truly nothing he can do would ever make me any less proud. Wherever baseball takes us, I will be by your side 112%. So thankful that I have someone so amazing in my life. You're my rock baby! I'm so blessed that I found the person that completes me, especially at a young age. We might not be in the perfect situation, but he is perfect to me. About 2 months until I move, just finishing up some things in my job and we'll finally be living together and can continue on with our engagement... Until then, we'll just keep doing the distance... hey, it's worked for 2 years, it can work for 2 more months. Love you honey xoxoxoxo. So with all my gushiness....

Yesterday I talked about me wearing this hat.... I actually really like it. I usually only wear hats when I'm out on a boat/on vacation/etc, but I do like how you can make these styles a little dressier. I decided to get this version versus the J Crew one, it was cheaper and I figured I wasn't wasting as much if I only wore it once ;) I don't think that will be the case though. Yesterday it was about 85 degrees, thank goodness. Time for the sunny weather that I crave, hopefully it's here to stay. Today I'm off to spend some time with the boy...... 

Time to do some furniture shopping, a little late birthday shopping, and then a big, fabulous date night that he planned.. I'm excited!! I love my hubby.
