A little "toned down" today because I attended a tea with my mom! It was such a fun day, I skipped the rest of my classes and we went to lunch and shopped. I got a couple fabulous things that I am dying to wear... especially my new Betsey Johnson nautical bag:) Short post, I'm suuuuper tired... that alarm clock will not be my friend in the morning....

I have always been a skinny jeans gal. Probably since I was about 13, and that seems like it was a million years ago! But I think something has changed in my brain, this past weekend AE had 40% off your entire purchase, so I tried on a couple pairs of jeans and loved these. Now I want more trouser style pants, they can be dressed up so much easier! I really like the look of them. Yesterday I woke up and it was still pretty chilly out, hence the sweater. This is a great wardrobe necessity, I think everyone should have one.... they're perfect for all the seasons! What's a piece you wear during all four seasons?

Well, I'm off to a 'tea party' with my mom! This week is flying by...

Sometimes I buy things and they sit in a bag in my closet until I finally decide to wear it..... this is one of  those shirts. I actually bought this when I was in Hawaii, and planned on wearing it with white pants this summer. Problem is, it doesn't go very well with most of my white denim so I improvised! I am {obviously} loving everything nautical at the moment, and this shirt has such a boater feel to it that I decided to make it a little more girly with bow-toed flats and pearls. I think it adds so much diversity. Last fridays shopping trip was pretty successful, I have plenty of outfits now for graduation events that I needed. The only thing I've had trouble finding is wedges... I realized I don't have a ton that are neutral... especially to go with my orange and cobalt blue striped skirt I just got. I've been doing some research.......

A little hue crazy

So, I think it's safe to say that I am obsessed with colored jeans. They are so much fun to play with! I have been on the hunt for a totally different shade than the ones I have, so I've been thinking hot pink, coral, and the neon variations. Today I've put together three {similar} hued pants, all for different occasions. I think sometimes it's hard to wear such a trend in so many ways, but these are totally versatile!

If you know me...... you know that baseball is my life. I think this is the perfect outfit for baseball any type of sporting or more casual event, yet on point at the same time! The converse make it a little more rugid, while the hot pink pants are super girly! I tried these on yesterday, they're a great deal, but I suggest sizing up, maybe even 2 sizes, depending on your height. I will definitely be wearing this outfit to cheer on Blake this summer!

Something that is so peaceful to me during the summer is late weekend brunches.... there is something so soothing to me, maybe it's the nice weather?! Hmmm some of that would be nice..... Anyways, I also really like a casual/dressy way to wear these. It's polished in a comfortable way, and also appropriate enough to be in a nice restaraunt. Because these pants are so bright, sticking with neutral yet fun accessories is the way to go.

I don't know about y'all, but date night is critical in my relationship. Being long distance is pretty hard, but our date nights make it worth it. I always try to look put together and presentable, but I also think this outfit has a balanced pop of color against all neutrals. A night out should stick to being classy and covered up, but you should also retain a sense of style.... in this case, neon pants! ;) I bought these, and they fit perfectly. I'm so excited to try to recreate this look for a date night this summer! It might also be a perfect day outfit for my birthday:)

Do you have a certain style of outfit that is just your go-to for everything?! Well this is mine. I probably have way too many of these sheer blouses but they're my favorite! Skinnies are perfect with them because they balance out the volume. I'm almost 5'9, so flats are what I reach for more often than heels, sadly. I love dressing a 'simple' outfit like this up with some big statement jewelry and a touch of vintage flare, in this case my sunnies! It's amazing what a couple accessories can do for a girl ;) Today I'm off to do some MAJOR shopping... and I mean that. I'm excited to style outfits for graduation/parties/upcoming birthday/etc.! Sorry for the awkward pictures and super short post, it has been raining. Pouring rain= No cute pics outside, and too dark to even attempt when I get home from class! Boo. I have been getting a lot of pin-spiration to dress up my Hunter's! I think they're the perfect boot to give a quirky twist to an everyday outfit. Makes it original! Saw the cutest outfit, to knot a maxi skirt right about the boots, do y'all think I should give it a try?! I'm off to take a test, then have the rest of the day free. Do you ever have those days where you plan an outfit, and then the weather changes so you have to switch something up?! Today was one of those days.... I take classes at 2 different campuses, and this morning I left the house with my new flats on, which I'm loving. I came home when I had a couple hours in between classes, and it started pouring. This was the first time I wore my Hunter's though, so I guess this will be the only time me not complaining about the rain ;) I picked this t-shirt up last weekend and I'm loving it! I officially think I have the nautical fever :) With that said, I'm making a trip to J Crew this weekend {Closest one is 45 mins away, boo :(} but I'm seriously tempted to get this...

Sorry for no post yesterday.... I tell you, life can be so hectic sometimes! I was up until 3:00 am Sunday night working on a speech and a 12 page paper... no fun. On a positive note, can you see how much fun I was having when my pictures were being taken? ;) Oh, and the puppies wanted to be involved too. I'm completley obsessed with the nautical trend, but I've always been scared I can't pull it off/ don't have enough pieces in my closet. The boy and I have these matching shoes that we like to wear, so I pulled those out, cuffed my jeans, and paired it with a striped shirt I got last week for super cheap! Had to get it in red, too ;) I'm really digging the nautical!
